This 9-volt battery features a rectangular shape with two snap terminals. This alkaline, manganese dioxide battery is great for use with tape recorders, pocket calculators, smoke detectors, transistor radios and other electronic equipment. It frequently lasts more than twice as long as the same size carbon-zinc battery, depending on type of use. It is not rechargeable. ANSI C 18.1.
